Certifications

The certifications your rug — and your brand story — travels with.

Six certifications carried by our production. Audit-ready documentation available on request — the same documents your ESG team uses in its own reporting.

Wool and silk hand-knotted rug from India — certified production

GoodWeave

Independent audit-based certification against child, forced and bonded labour.

The industry's most recognised ethical assurance — audit teams inspect looms and worker households, and the certification mark travels with every certified piece.

RWS (Responsible Wool Standard)

Animal welfare + land management + chain of custody, all the way to the finished rug.

Textile Exchange's farm-level certification. What buyers get: audit-ready documentation for their own ESG / sustainability reporting.

Oeko-Tex Standard 100

Every fibre, dye and backing tested for over 350 harmful substances.

Enables market entry to EU / US buyers with chemical-safety requirements. Common in healthcare, wellness and children's specification.

GRS (Global Recycled Standard)

Verified recycled inputs with chain-of-custody documentation.

Required for buyers with recycled-content sustainability claims; sits alongside RWS in most ESG stories.

ISO 9001:2015

International quality-management-system standard.

Process discipline, traceability and continuous improvement — the operating system beneath every product-level cert.

SMETA

Sedex Members Ethical Trade Audit.

Labour standards, health and safety, environment and business ethics audit. Common requirement for hospitality and mass-retail supply.

Frequently asked questions

Which certifications can I ask for documentation on?
All six above — GoodWeave, RWS, Oeko-Tex, GRS, ISO 9001, SMETA. Send a request via the contact form or WhatsApp and we'll return scope and expiry.
Can I use your certifications in my own brand story?
Yes — this is the point of Deep's ESG-transferable framing. RWS chain-of-custody and GoodWeave provenance travel with the certified piece into your reporting.
What is the difference between RWS and GRS?
RWS is animal-welfare-focused (wool). GRS is recycled-content-focused (any fibre). Both are Textile Exchange standards.
Do I need Intertek FR testing?
Depends on the market and use-case. For hospitality projects with FR requirements we arrange Intertek testing per project — see /hotel-rug-manufacturer.
