Why wool

Performance

Natural resilience and crush recovery; fibre structure hides soiling; inherently flame-resistant vs synthetics.

Longevity

A well-made wool rug is a decades asset — the reason hospitality and heritage retailers specify wool first.

Sustainability

Renewable, biodegradable fibre; ours certified from responsibly managed flocks (RWS) with full chain-of-custody.

Wool origins — one of the widest ranges of any Indian rug manufacturer

Matched to your hand, budget and performance spec. Yarn counts from **zero count to 100 count**, single or multi-ply — the spec-level range that lets us build any rug you can draw.

New Zealand wool

Long-staple, high whiteness — takes pale and pastel dye shades cleanly. Soft hand, low vegetable matter.

Best for
Premium hand-tufted and hand-knotted pieces, light colourways, luxury retail.

Himalayan wool

Naturally lustrous highland fibre with excellent hand and body.

Best for
Hand-knotted heirloom pieces where lustre and knot definition matter.

Argentine wool

Fine, uniform, superb dye uptake.

Best for
Modern hand-tufted and Indo-Tibetan constructions in saturated colour.

Afghan wool

Robust, characterful hand-spun tradition.

Best for
Tribal and vintage-look hand-knotted rugs with an authentic character.

Sardinian wool

Coarse, springy fibre with striking texture.

Best for
Rustic hand-knotted and flatweave pieces with a matte, natural face.

English wool

Medium-staple, resilient, historically the benchmark for wear-tested carpet.

Best for
Contract-grade hand-tufted and handloom rugs for high-traffic hospitality.

Australian wool

Broad-band range from Merino at the fine end to strong wool for contract use.

Best for
Any construction — a workhorse of the spec sheet.

Merino

Superfine, exceptionally soft, high crimp — the fine end of the wool spectrum.

Best for
Ultra-plush hand-tufted bedroom pieces and premium retail.

Indian superfine wool

Domestic superfine grade with excellent value.

Best for
Hand-knotted and hand-tufted programmes where price sensitivity meets a soft hand requirement.

Specialty fibres available on the same looms

Cashmere

Rare, ultra-luxury pile. Small pieces and blends.

Mohair

High lustre, resilient, dye-brilliant. Statement rugs and accent pieces.

Silky soft, warm-toned, hypoallergenic. Premium residential.
