Handloom

Loop-pile or cut-pile rug woven on a horizontal handloom, faster than [[hand-tufted]] and denser than [[flatweave]].

Handloom uses a needle-set loom to insert continuous loops of yarn through backing warp; the loops are cut (cut-pile) or left uncut (loop-pile). Modern flat-topped, subtly textured looks — clean, contemporary, quick to produce. Typical weight: 1600–2200 GSM. See [[flatweave]], [[hand-tufted]].
